1964 - 2010

As Scouting is celebrating its 100th birthday, our Troop 103 celebrates its 92nd year of existence. We are one of the oldest troops in the area.

Amazingly enough one of our leaders has been serving our Pack and Troop for more than half of that time. Earl Hertz has been involved in scouting as an adult for over 46 years and has served the pack and troop continuously over those years. He has held numerous positions from the Pack's Cubmaster to his present advisory position on the Troop's Committee.

Earl has been a long-time promoter for scouting and has been instrumental in getting many of us involved as leaders.

His service over the years has extended well beyond scouting too. Earl has been involved with many other parish and community organizations. In fact we had to drag him away from helping at the Knight of Columbus sponsored breakfast this morning just so we could recognize his positive impact to those around him.

His Scouting service includes:
