Subject: MBU -- THANK YOU!
Dear Scouts and Scout Families,
Thank you all for your participation in the Merit Badge University! We hope you had a good time, learned a little, and got a few requirements done. The counselors all really enjoyed working with you and sharing their interests.
This was the first time our chapter of APO has hosted this event. I know we had some small hiccups in the process, but I think it was still successful. I want to apologize for confusion or frustration that may have arisen from choosing badges for registration or waiting for Blue Cards at the end of the event. This event left us room to grow!
At this point, we have no idea if we will host a MBU again. It depends entirely on the feedback we receive. Thank you to those of you who completed an evaluation at the conclusion of the event! If you did not, I would encourage you to fill it out online at:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dF9rYnNScFpZbU1ndC0yeU9KWUgxMFE6MA
It may be filled out multiple times and Scouts, adult leaders, and parents are ALL invited to fill one out! Feel free to use the comments section to provide specific feedback, suggestions, good things, bad things, or observations about the event. I would ask that you please take a few minutes as these responses will help decide if and/or how the event will take place in the future.
Also, a few counselors told me that they got lost in time and forgot to give out their contact information. I have included all of their contact information at the bottom of this email. As you complete the badges you started today, feel free to contact the counselors to arrange a time to meet. They have all agreed to meet any Scout and a buddy at the library to finish signing off on any remaining requirements.
Finally, I would just like to thank you all again for your participation! I think it has been a very rewarding experience for everyone involved. As before, please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you would like me to address any comments, questions, or concerns. Keep your eyes on upcoming issues of the “YAAC” for an article about today’s event!
Yours in Scouting,
C.J. Rauch
MBU Coordinator
